Calèche
Soie de ParfumTHE CREATIONCreated by perfumer Guy Robert in 1961, and the first women's fragrance from Hermès, Calèche was reinterpreted in 1992 to become Calèche Soie de Parfum, a composition named in reference to the house's emblematic carriage and the silk industry.
OLFACTORY NOTES Floral and aldehyde, Calèche Soie de Parfum combines the refined notes of aldehyde with the opulent notes of jasmine, alongside a generous rose.
THE OBJECT Inspired by the lanterns of old-fashioned cars, the bottle is topped with a black cap echoing the rider's bomb. A sign of belonging to the Parfums-Fondateurs collection, the label on the back is illustrated with a drawing by Philippe Dumas.
THE FOUNDERS' PERFUMES COLLECTION The Foundations' Perfumes collection draws its inspiration from the house's heritage. Each creation concentrates the imagination of Hermès in a name, a fragrance, and a color. Over the years, Hermès has written the pages of a bold perfumery, born from encounters with exceptional perfumers.
Composed by Guy Robert in 1961, Calèche is the house's first women's fragrance. It is a highly feminine woody floral chypre, whose name echoes the iconic Hermès carriage. Calèche is a novel that shines through the beauty of its raw materials, from the cheerfulness of citrus to the modernity of aldehyde notes, from the floral heart embroidered with ylang-ylang, rose, and jasmine, to the woody, chypre trail, underscored by the nobility of iris.
